Vertical empennage : It consists in two main
parts, the vertical stabilizer and the rudder.
The vertical stabilizer is made of a spar, a leading edge, ribs
and a skin (plywood and fiber glass).
The spar is build with stringers (oregon pine) and a core made
of plywood.
The leading edge is shaped in a red cedar beam.
The ribs are done in 30mm insulation foam, some reinforced plywood.

At this point, the ribs are not shaped, they are rectangular
to simplify the bonding operation.

Stabilator : It is

skins (plywood and fiberglass).
The spar is made with 2 main spruce caps glued between two plywood
shear webs.
The leading edge is made of red cedar.
The ribs are made from insulation foam (30 and 20mm) some being
reinforced using plywood.

Control Linkage Parts and Fittings:
Most part of the fittings and linkage parts are made of
aluminium aloy (2017A) and steel (25CD4S/25CrMo4).
Water quenching is required for 2017A parts or they crack when bending.
